After a metadata deposit file has been submitted, we immediately returns a confirmation that your file has been received for processing and entered into our submission queue.
The submission queue is available via the Crossref system interface at https://doi.crossref.org. After logging in, select the Show My Submission Queue link on the opening page (or click the Submissions tab then the Show System Queue tab).
The submissions that are being actively processed at the moment are displayed at the top of the page. These are listed individually by submission ID number, along with file name, file type, percent completed, file type, and timestamps.
The submissions that are waiting in queue to be processed, but have not yet been picked up for processing, are displayed at the bottom of the page. These are grouped by depositor ID (this is same as the username you used to login to the system). Click the "+" under the left-hand "Details" column next to your depositor ID name to expand a list of your deposits waiting to be processed. The submission ID, filename, and order in the queue will also be displayed.
Some details on Queue Management
It typically takes only a few minutes to for a submission to be picked up for processing and then for the processing to be completed. Processing may take longer depending on overall system traffic and submission size and complexity. We've recently made some adjustments to the queue processing to reduce these lag times considerably, but if you're concerned about your submission processing time or are planning a large update and are concerned about timing, please open a support ticket.
